Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. – Martin Luther King Jr.
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. day – a federal holiday.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a once in a generation leader. The type of leader who called for peace amidst the panic. He demonstrated a vision for America, perhaps closer to America’s original dream than even our Founders.
His work is not done, but the holiday reminds me to stay focused on his dream.
Beyond Martin Luther King Jr.’s thirst for freedom, 365 Days of Facts will use February to celebrate Black History Month with our quotes throughout February.
