NFC Wildcard: Eagles-Saints

Eagles-Saints 1993 Wildcard game. It was wild.

The Philadelphia Eagles would meet the New Orleans Saints in the NFC wildcard. The Eagles had lost their last five playoff appearances dating back to 1980. They trailed by ten points going into the last quarter of the game.

Eagles-Saints Outcomes

The New Orleans Saints who had gone 12-4 in the regular season – second in the NFC West – would lose this game after interceptions and a fourth quarter safety end the friars hopes of advancing in the playoffs.

Despite strong play from the Philadelphia defense and Reggie White in particular, the Eagles season would end after this game, losing in the divisional round to the Dallas Cowboys, 34-10.
